A stimulating robotics workshop was recently conducted at the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) of the PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Alipurduar Junction. The workshop, aimed at fostering innovation and technical skills among students, provided a hands-on experience in designing and building robotic models.

Participants, ranging from elementary to high school students, were guided by experienced mentors who introduced them to the fundamentals of robotics, including mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer programming. The workshop covered various aspects of robotics, such as:

Sensor technology: Understanding the role of sensors in enabling robots to interact with their environment.
Actuators: Learning about the different types of actuators that power robotic movements.
Programming: Acquiring basic programming skills to control robotic behavior.
Design and assembly: Designing and constructing robotic models using various materials and tools.

The workshop culminated in a competition where students showcased their robotic creations and demonstrated their understanding of the concepts learned. The winning teams were awarded prizes and certificates for their outstanding performance.

The Atal Tinkering Lab at PM SHRI KV Alipurduar Junction has been instrumental in providing students with opportunities to explore their interests in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Through workshops like these, the lab is empowering the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers.
